Franz Danzi , 1763 (Mannheim)‒1826 (Karlsruhe). Cellist, conductor, and composer. Although he composed in most major genres of the time (including opera, church music, orchestral works, and many varieties of chamber music), he is primarily remembered today for his idiomatic wind quintets.
