Vladimir I. Rebikov , 1866 (Krasnoyarsk)‒1920 (Yalta). Already a forgotten figure at the time of his death, Rebikov studied piano with his mother. Following graduation from Moscow University, he studied at the Moscow Conservatory, then in Berlin and Vienna. He was apparently convinced that such composers as Debussy, Scriabin, and Stravinsky had become prominent by stealing his ideas.
